ISPB 87th Anniversary Gala   Tuesday, November 4, 2003

The ISPB will celebrate its 87th Anniversary by holding a Gala on Tuesday, November 4, 2003, at the Inter-Continental Hotel Chicago. The schedule for the Gala will include:

3:30 p.m.   Medical Symposium

Departments of Ophthalmology at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital, Loyola University Chicago, Northwestern University Medical School, Rush Medical College at Rush University, University of Chicago Medical School and the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical School.

5:30 p.m.   Reception / Silent Auction

Many auction items have already been received including a 7-day Cruise by Carnival; Wild Water Expeditions (rafting on New River in Virginia; Weekend for Two (2 nights) at the Westin River North (Chicago); assorted furs from Garber Furs; collectibles, including autographed sports jerseys (Hardaway, Zorich, McNabb); artwork (painting from the P. Buckley Moss Society); photography books by Algimantas Kezys; antiques, just to name a few.

6:30 p.m.   AWARDS DINNER

Following dinner, the prestigious Derrick Vail, M.D., Memorial Award will be presented to Richard G. Gieser, M.D., followed by Community Service Awards presented to two outstanding Chicagoans: Connie Payton (Mrs. Walter) and Cortez Trotter, Executive Director of Office of Emergency Management and Communications, Chicago.
