“Take A Loved One to the Doctor Day” — ISPB and NEHEPT he ISPB, a partner with the National Eye Health Education Program (NEHEP), announces September 16, 2003, as “Take A Loved One to the Doctor Day.”This initiative is a key element of the Closing the Health Gap campaign through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and its founding partner, ABC Radio Networks. The focus of the day is to encourage all individuals to take charge of their health by
Last year, HHS launched the campaign with a series of health messages for African American communities. This year’s campaign has been expanded to reach American Indians and Alaska Natives, African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders. This is the first year vision is being addressed.
