Directors and Officers To Lead ISPB In 2001

Jonathan B. Rubenstein, M.D., as the immediate past president of the Chicago Ophthalmological Society, will be continuing the tradition of becoming a member of the ISPB’s board. Dr. Rubenstein, an associate professor in the department of ophthalmology at Rush Medical College, is an attending physician at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center and Rush North Shore Medical Center. He is also director of refractive surgery at Rush.

At the annual board meeting, current board members were re-elected to additional terms as follows:

For three-year terms
Walter M. Jay, M.D. (Maywood); Peter J. Latz; Charles M. Vygantas, M.D. (Des Plaines); David M. Webster

For a two-year term
Robert P. Schroeder, M.D.

For one-year terms
Paul K. Anthony, O.D. (Springfield); Wesley E. Bass, Jr.

Last year’s officers were re-elected to additional one-year terms. They include:
David M. Webster as President; Burton W. Hales, Jr., as Vice President; Charles M.
Vygantas, M.D., as Vice President; Thomas S. Bridges as Treasurer; Leslee Williams as Secretary.

Other directors include: Gary W. Lasken, O.D. (Peoria); Marilyn T. Miller, M.D., Beverly Susler Parkhurst, William P. White III, John M. Wolfe.
